Before I attempt to interpret your question there is an important theology in your question that was a bit bent. God does not choose if you go to heaven you do. But anyway...
Is god egotistical? Egotistical is to think, write, talk too much of oneself. Egotism emphasizes conceit, boasting and selfishness in talking about oneself and ones own affairs.
God describes himself as jealous. He wants us to hold him in regard above all else. He does not boast and dieing on the cross for us is hardly selfish. I hear that you are implying he is conceited because he does not remove the pain we chose by choosing 'choice'. The problem is He can hardly heal misery without threatening the important theology I clarified earlier. That you choose him and heaven.
Good question. Nor do I think I will ever be able to answer you fully but I hope that gave you my perspective.

The god depicted commonly by the Abrahamic religions certainly is. Demanding total submission yet not giving a single tangible reason for doing so. Demanding obedience, yet not providing the slightest proof of his mere existence beyond some badly written books almost 2000 years old. Insisting that his "invisible proofs" are there for all to see (work that one out!), when in fact such "proofs" are plainly NOT there for all to see since the entire world is not Christian. Granting the "gift" of free will but commanding that we dare not exercise it or else.
That spells one thing to me: A massive ego demanding to be stroked. No love exists in jealousy. No mercy exists in wrath. No compassion exists in hatred.
The Abrahamic faiths worship a petulant, self-absorbed, irrational super-tribal chief. "Obey or fry" is hardly an incentive to believe such a being is capable of any sort of positive attribute.

Yes, God is egotistical! And with good reason! If you had done the amazing feats as Him, wouldn't you be? Man doesn't even need grandeur to be egotistical. That's because God created us in His own image! Egoism's can be synonymous with pride. We are all proud of things we excel at! Nothing wrong with that.
Oh, and God does give you proof of His existence, on a daily basis, and occasionally upon earning special acknowledgments, too. Unfortunately, most of us don't recognize this proof(even if it hit you in the face) With age comes experience and with experience, comes wisdom. Wisdom is recognizing and understanding things that didn't make sense when we were younger. Keep your mind and eyes wide open, and you will find the proof you need. And don't forget to ask! Have you asked God for help and answers to your dilemma? All you have to do is ask, and then trust in Him to take care of it. He has never failed me to date. He won't fail you either, but you do have to ask.

God states...if you seek me with your whole heart I will reveal myself to you! So you can have a personal relationship with God and that along with the facts regarding the Bible and any other info you want to look into should give you plenty of "proof". As far as being egotistical God is a fair and loving God what he does is not for us to try and understand. We have such limited knowledge that even trying to understand the big picture will drive you nuts! I have tried to wrap my mind around it and it is not possible for me to fathom what the big picture entails. I have found the truth regarding Creation, the Bible and Jesus so at this point I can not question what I can not understand regarding God's plan!

1) God is not egotistical, because He is God Almighty Himself and can do whatever the fu'ck He wants.
2) Christians are not a bunch of arrogant ***'holes because they have the only Truth the world will ever know.
3) The Bible is the truth because the Bible says that the Bible is the truth, and the Bible says this right there in the Bible, so it must be the truth.
Don't you know anything?
Duh!!!

of course God is not egotisticial.
God is impersonal. He sees the world from the point of unity (where everything is interconnected or entangled) instead of the point of duality (us vs them.)
God loves all of us equally from the lowly insect to the most spiritual person who ever lived, and we will be judged according to our level of awareness or understanding.
I think as we become more spiritual; God moves the goalposts and expects more from us than God would expect from someone not as spiritually evolved.

He could but we would just explain it away by calling it a power outage or a computer virus. He wants us to look deeper and gain a personal experience.
