Texas workshops and hotel room and other expenses I've heard are paid for by the Pell Grant. Anyone knoow?

You can pay for anything if they give you the money...........BUT.............if you take classes and

you DO NOT maintain a certain grade level,
drop out
or fail the classes ...........

THEN you have to pay back the money.....................Pell grants give the money to you..............make sure you read the application thoroughly. Consequences can arise if any of the above happen.

It depends on whether the program is part of an accredited university. Any program that's part of a Title IV school in which you're enrolled half time or more can have federal aid applied to it.
