I'm an ok looking HS senior basketball jock. I've always been somewhat insecure about myself and have avoided relationships my whole life. I've dished out a few rejections but have been afraid to ask girls out ever since sophomore year I was rejected by a beautiful girl that I was always afraid to talk to.
This summer I met an amazing girl at my summer job and we've talked on the phone a few times lately(diff schools). With this girl it's all the personality that got me interested.Shes semi attractive but I didnt have a crush on her until I got to know her.
Now Im afraid to ask her out. We are really different people. She isn't the sports type person that I am but I can't stop thinking about her anyway. Im thinking, if she says no I'll never have to deal with her again anyway, but I'm still afraid of rejection.What to do? We're friends, and I don't want to blow it :) I know, I'm a pu$$y. whatever--

Just keep continuing to get to know her as a friend, because if it doesn't work out at least you haven't scared her off... You will eventually find out how to know what she likes/dislikes about guys.
I really hate it when someone likes me so much & sometimes without meaning to, they tend to scare me off too quickly.
Ask her to join you for a lunch or coffee, or something casual. Maybe ask her to come to 1 of your games.
Plus you'll take off so much pressure from yourself, & it will help you to win her. When someone is too intense, it's kind of a turn-off.

If you guys are such good friends just ask her to go on a date... if she says no.. don't worry about it. I dated someone from work and it didn't work out at first because we didn't want to ruin our friendship. I'm still dealing with it but if you never ask, you will always wonder... make it into a joke if ya want.

here is what you can say say: Its been realy fun getting to know you and so I was woundering if you wanted to go on a date but if you just want to be friends than thats ok I dont want to jeapordise our friendship but I have realy gotten to know you.
