Sell it and use the money to get a real sports car.

Mustangs are nice.

OK I can do better than the first two guys so here goes....

First: Since you know nothing about cars most of your money is going to go into a shop owners pocket! That's just the way it is because you don't know how to do it yourself. I recommend that you educate yourself on cars so you know how to get where you want to be. When I was young I ended up tossing lots of cash down the drain because I had lots of ideas but not the know how.

Next: "What can you suggest to increase my horsepower and torque with out doing to much work or spending thousands of dollars, In all honesty i have about $1000 right now" Well for that much there are two things you can do to get a slight boost in performance. Get a K & N air filter and start looking for a performance exhaust system. With the exhaust there are three ways to go, one is to buy the muffler and have your local muffler shop install it. Or get a muffler and a high flow catalytic converter then go to the muffler shop. Wait! catalytic convert-what? Yes, the cat converter is the emmisions part of the exhaust system and the stock part is usually rather restrictive. Or you could see if any of the muffler makers make a exhaust system for your car.

Next: "im not to sure if this is a stupid statment but
i would like my car to be faster then stock mustangs and camaro's when i'm done with it" Well anything is possible but in your case it will require substantially more than $1000 dollars! There an old saying... How fast you go depends on how much you want to spend! Or something like that. Basically it ain't cheap! You would be smarter to start with something more on the level of a Mustang or Camaro but that's up to you. Good Luck!

Well, the first thing is to change out the stock air cleaner for a cool flow, you can get at any parts store. The second would be to take $300 of the grand you want to spend and get a up-graded computer chip which you can also get from any parts store. If you wanna go really fast, change the spark plugs to hotter setting also.Adjust the timing, spark, compression, transmission shift pionts, you can do all that with a laptop and about 30 minutes of you're time,if you can follow directions. It'll make that car scream!

Well if you want your car to be much faster than stock mustangs and camaros...you might need to do a little more than just throw some bolt on parts on it. But you can always start with nice air filters, cold air intake, performance chip.

first cold air intake around 10 hp, and 6 pounds of tourqe roughly 200 bucks, next cat back exhaust around 300 that will give you another 10-20 and if you want you can put a performance chip in the beast and then your hauling all in all 1000 tops with all upgrades.

A bolt on superchager is always a good chose easy to install and big boost in horsepower. Also you could find a nice computer tunner that should get all the horespower out of it

Dude, just drive the car and be happy. With a $1,000 you wont accomplish anything except killing any reliability the car had. You will have a car that is no longer dependable and $1,000 less in your bank account.
