Ok everyone has this thing for coloring huh? My son loves being entertains by the new Sesame Street DVDs he got for christmas. I think they are worth it. Go to the store and have her pick out a DVD.
I think 2 year olds aren't still enough to sit down through a whole game.
What we do is that we have a lot of his toys in the closet and only take out one or two at a time so that he doesn't get bored and entertains himself.
We also bought this great fisher price bowling set that is great with toddlers.

My two year old just loves playing with play dough at the moment.
All you need to do is make sure they are at a table and NOT on carpet! Give them a little rolling pin, some plastic cutters and it's an activity that they can come back to again and again.
I make my own play dough because it is more elastic and a better consistency than bought play dough. It's really easy..
Recipe is here...

This is the best game I ever came up with. We just call it "colors". I took different color construction paper and taped a different color to all the doors in our hallway. I just call out colors and my 3 yrs old and 1 year old go and tag the color and run back. They love it, get some exercise and I'm not running to. Simple but it works.

Read her a story!
If you have a deck of playing cards you can make up your own version of memory, where you turn the cards face down and she tries to match two either the same color or if she can the same symbols.

try making a neckless out of beads or noodles. or try doing a puzzle, one of the bigger ones and of a charcter/activity shell reconize. these activities will improver her small motorskills. or you can have her plan a mini garden, buy a little pot, a pack of seeds, and some soil. and help her put it together and explain to her what youre planting and have her water it every day, this will give her a sence of responcibility. or simply play barbies/dolls with her.

The Terrific Twos!
Short attention spans, busy minds and hands, bright colors, loud noises, one-on-one attention, large motor skill movement.
When my four boys were little, we had stacks of Dr. Seuss books, cans of crayons in tiny pieces, Duplos in varying stages of building, my Tupperware stored in a crate for stacking, and big pillows from the sofa tucked next to a quilt for impromptu pillow fights and sliding and tumbling sessions.
*We listened to Christopher Churchmouse tapes and they turned the pages when the tape beeped.
*We made salt dough and baked their creations.
*They helped stick the raisins into the peanut butter for celery "bugs on logs".
*We pretended to go grocery shopping in my pantry.
*We gave the dog a bath.
*The little ones sat quiet on the floor and listened while I pretended to be the "library lady" and acted out a story I was reading with my voice changing for each character.
*Any familiar story, they filled in the blanks when I left out a word.
*We played "I see something....."
*I made kazoos out of combs and wax paper (typing paper works) and we buzzed our lips numb humming familiar songs.
*I ran out of farm animals and we acted out the zoo animals singing "Old McDonald Had a Farm".
*We had a clean-the-chairs afternoon with pans of soapy water and old toothbrushes (amazing how grubby the chairs get!)
*We got a goldfish in a bowl and watched it for a long time, and drew pictures.
*We planted bean seeds and grew them in wet paper towels stuck into dixie cups on the sunny windowledge.
*They sorted out my button box by colors into ziploc sandwich bags.
*We listened to a special radio program every afternoon... my kids called it "Poke-us on the Family". There's lots of good Christian radio programs for kids!
*We didn't have a tv that worked, and there was no internet back then. There were times I'd resort to videotaped reruns, but not too often. Usually that was when I'd flop, exhausted on the sofa. Didn't take long before I had some small warm body curling against mine, shortly to be followed by the rest, and we'd nap together before their daddy got home from work.

first you need to learn how to spell properly, before your child needs to learn that. you can start the child with abc cards, number cards, color recoginitian cards. even object recognition, like body parts, head, hands , feet, knees etc not ,,,,,, well you know. watch videos of her age range with her, read to her, draw simple pictures for her, Lily likes to color with her moms help. she has a little plastic vaccum and she follows amber all over vaccuming the house behind her, i gave her an iron, she has lots of stuffed animals, you can get plastic blocks and help her learn to stack them , balance things, put donut rings on a peg, square pegs in the right holes and such, all those games help with motor nerve coordination. you can get mommy and me exercise tapes at the library and do simple physical exercises together. give her a few cheap plastic dishes and cups and let her serve dinner, you can make a cardboard box kitchen stove for her, with red circles for burners etc, be creative. none of it has to be hugely expensive either. i got lilys iron at the dollar store, i made her doll clothes and a stuffed cat she dresses. she loves socks because she can change them herself so i sent her a bunch of socks i got at the dollar store, just for laughs. they had big foam block like puzzle shapes that had numbers on them. i got her a fake cell phone and cell phone pouch at the dollar store, she perfers to keep her little fruit snacks in her cell phone pouch instead of her cellphone.
