Buy Aesop's Fables. For example he wrote the tortoise & the hare the moral of which is to persevere & accomplish what you set out to do. All of his stories contain a moral.
Also if the Bill Cosby show is on have him watch that as his show usually contains a moral. Does PBS have some good programs that young children enjoy watching? When I was a young child I watched Father Knows Best and The Danny Thomas Show both of which had morals. The affected me positively.
In addition to the above, monitor your child's TV shows. There are so many nowadays that are harmful to building character in a child.
