sweetie if you have tried talking about this issue with your friend and she still isnt getting it then yeah maybe its time to make some new friends...friends will come and go in your life and the friend that becomes your best friend will be one who is completely on your wavelength...you may have different views on some issues but when it comes to how you communicate then you have to be on that same wavelength for the friendship to endure and develop

I know what your goign through, i've had a friend like that, we were the BEST OF BUDS bud he was so jealous and selfish, and he was so so rude. and yet we were best friends. First think about if your really friends with her. what i'd do. is really talk to her and be like " well this is going to effect out relation ship as friends, because your ...... blah blah blah" and stuff, and if she doesn't get it, then just be like, " well As much as i want to fix this, i'd really like it if u would stop trying to compete with me, " then if she doesn't listen u can say " If you don't want to fix this, then i guess we can't be friends." Yes its hard, but if you really can't stand the jealousness then your going to have to give her a break. The way it happened for me, is that he got way too out of hand and through my house keys at the window and i got so mad! I ( don't do this i regret it) Cursed him out and then he started calling his mom and went home. That was the last i saw him. So its better to end or fix then to let it end abruptly. Hope that helps!

If you truely like her as a friend then I would tell her how you feel about it.

If not, then no she is not a real friend. Real friends don't compete to see who has more stuff than the other, that's very childish and that is not what a friendship is based on!

wow. this sucks. i really dont have any amazing advice for you, but ive got the same thing. my boyfriend, and other lil buddies act like that two. next time be nice about asking her about it again, or in the situtation. you can find a new best friend, but you shouldnt break all ties with her either. you can always have more then one frined!

Friends are supposed to bring out the best in each other. If not, then how can you be "best" friends? Keep her as a friend if you want to but spend less time with her & develop other friends as well.

Ignore her because it does not make a difference what she thinks. If you have more stuff than her it wont make them less just because she says she has more. Give her time she has alot of growing up to do and be on her side when she does that.

You said you are bestfriends, right? So i suggest that you shouldn't worry about on her shortcoming.
1. As friends, there must exist like pardon, thanks, etc; these will maintain your friendship.
2.You don't want to compete with her, right, just keep your mouth closed, unless you like competition too. and competition is the thing of each other, right?

She's obviously not a "Real" friend is she?
If you're tired of her just tell her i don't care, Plus don't assume someone's your best friend because they aren't always the great person you thought they were. I've been there trust me.

Friends don't compete they are happy for what you have or can do that's better than them. Find a new friend.
