I just bought some angel foods cake. What are some yummy recipes using it? I have already thought of berries with whipped cream. I pretty much have a stocked kitchen. I want something different than just adding something from a jar or can.

Well...this is partially from a jar, but I have to tell ya, my family has been making it for years and we get requests for it ALL the time.

FRESH whipping cream mixed with one large jar of Gerber's strained mixed fruit baby food. It is THE BEST frosting for an angel food cake you will ever want to try!!

Another thing you can do is try mixing one box of instant chocolate pudding with 1/2 the milk and one container whipped cream well mixed.(though I still prefer fresh whipped cream!) Tear the angel food cake into bite sized pieces. Then, you want to layer the cake and whipped pudding mix evenly. (One layer cake, one layer whipped pudding and so on. Your last layer should be pudding!) Top it with whipped cream and shaved chocolate.

Hope this helps!!

Angel food cake is hard to make. Try a cake mix and be sure the baking pan is completely clean. You can also buy made up cakes at local super markets. Then you can add the frosting. Chocolate with orange, Cream Cheese with Amaretto, and Pecan with rum are all very tasty. I make Angel Food Cupcakes and add a cherry to the center of each one while cooking. They usually look terrible but taste great. Good luck!
