Why are some (obviously not all) Christians so quick to attack and condemn when it goes agianst Jesus's teachings? (he who is without sin...)

First of all I completely agree with "bigvol" of how Christians should act. However you are asking why do they condemn so quickly.

I think that there are three main answers for this:

a) To them its open season on Christians, and they are fighting back

b) They really think that they have the answer, yet fewer people are listening to them

c) They see their way of life eroding away and they are at a loss to stop it.

All of the above are true. However, this has been true for the past 500 years. In a land where freedom is cherished in the past the way to deal with those three problems sited above is to comdemn those that oppose you. Unfortunately for the Christians you are talking about, this type of reaction only backfires these days.

Hope this helps

God bless

Jesus once said to a group of men intending to stone a prostitute to death for her "crime", "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". After pondering this, they all walked away, leaving her alone with Jesus. She was rather confused, but Jesus saw her fear and said, "Neither do I condemn thee. GO AND SIN NO MORE!" Notice how His human side DIDN'T degrade her in any way, but had COMPASSION for her situation. Notice how His divine side offered her redemption and a path for lasting salvation and righteousness. Not all examples of Christianity are as quick to condemn as you may think, if they truly follow this and other examples.

that is lots extra handy to get away with divorce than abortion if the two are outlawed. to boot, lots extra human beings divorce than have abortions, so outlawing abortion won't criminalize as many human beings. not that I trust widely used Christian politics.
