im going to Perth in july\august.

you simply must goto Rottnest Island, its under 50KM's away from the western coast and is a popular destionation with locals and tourists alike, the ferrry rides take the following times
from Fremantle: aprox 30 minutes
from Hillarys: 45 minutes
from Perth: 60 minutes

take a look at www.rottnestisland.com and this will give you ALL the information that you will need for your visit.

also head down to Fremantle and Cottesloe if you like fine food and nice views....for some information on these places I recomened you take a look at www.fremantle.wa.gov.au and www.cottesloe.wa.gov.au and see what you think.

Bell tower. Rotto, Cottesloe. Swan Valley wineries. Eat at the Gilford Hotel. Pinnicales tours. My mom. : ) .

Kings Park is popular for tourists, Sorrento quay is really nice and theres an underwater world there.
Im not sure it depends what your into, just go to the city for shopping ,and we have an alright zoo.

fremantle is great, nice restaurants, scenery plus historic value etc. was my favourite place there.
