I'm not sure about an eating plan or fitness program, but for motivation...first I think of why you ate the way you did. You said you are an emotional eater... try to substitue eating for walking or something similar. I know when I'm feeling bummed, I have an urge to pick up the ice cream container or the extra roll at the dinner table, but instead, I found that going for a walk and listening to music seems to calm me down or at least give me the time and space I need for whatever it is that's bothering me.

Try to take little steps to better your lifestyle.. I know when I eat better foods I feel better. They just work with your body the right way. Use smaller dishes or don't completely clear the plate.

Also, I look to those people that inspire me, whether it be Tyra Banks, a woman who is comfortable with who she is and is praised because of it, or a family member or friend for support and motivation.

But overall, the change comes within yourself. I know it sounds cliche, but it's true. Do it for yourself, make the change for you. Think of the feeling of accomplishment you'll have with hard work. There's nothing like that (=

One of my favorite quotes: "Don't ever let anyone or anything make you feel like you don't deserve what you want."

I know you can do it (=

Good luck to you!

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

If you want to do this it is for life so you need to totally change your way of eating and exercising. This is not a diet rather than a healthy eating plan for life. So no more talking diet cause it means time limit & blow outs.

Here are the golden rules:
Be prepared only have good food in the house
Initially cut down to 1200 (women) - 1500 (men) calories.
Exercise 6 times per week for 1 hours a day. Do three weight sessions and three cardio sessions.
Don't eat carbs after 4pm, never eat carbs within 2 hours of exercise or within 1 hour of exercise.
Drink 3 litres of water per day. You can have a green tea at the end of the day.
Limit your fruit in take to 2 pieces per day.
Never eat dinner after 6pm.
Adopt of low GI eating plan this is sustainable for life!
Make low fat dairy choices

Follow this menu plan as a suggestion:
Breakfast 7am - 1 cup hot water w lemon
20 minutes later have a bowel of oats w water (no honey) OR
fruit salad w low GI soy yogurt OR
Banana smoothie - homemade lots of ice, banana, low GI low fat yoghurt & scoop protein this makes two servings so put the other serve in fridge for tomorrow morning.
Snack 10am - pear or apple (both low GI)
Lunch 12.30pm - muligrain sandwich w 50g tuna & salad (no butter)
Snack 3pm - low GI yogurt
Dinner 5.30pm - 120g grilled lean meat/fish/prawns/tofu patties (not fried) w spinach salad & mixed vegies (no whites, carbs) OR 3 egg white omlette with ham, cheese and tomato
Snack - 1 scoop of low cal low fat ice cream (if hungry)

Exercise is must be intense. Refer to www.bodybuilding.com for your weights routine. Never do weights two consecutive days have a cardio day in between.

Cardio needs to include running, go hard up stair wells and cycling. If you have access to a gym include boxing and spin classes as well. You get the most benefits from exercise when your body is totally fatigued and this is when you see changes.

To maintain you can increase calories to 1500 (women) - 1800 (men) and reduce exercise sessions to 3-4 times per week. If weight creeps up again due to holiday period etc.. go back to 1200 (women) - 1500 (men) cal and 6 sessions again.

Good luck it worked for me it can work for anyone.

If you eat emotionally and you decide to diet the diet is going to fail unless you manage to stop eating compulsively.

I think if you address the problem (ie emotional overeating) and you commit yourself to stopping it you will be happier and proud of yourself.

I know you can do it! Don't doubt about it. All you need is some self-discipline. Your worthiness does NOT depend on what others think of you... try to remember they are entitled not to like you... but it doesn't mean they are right ;)
