The answer is yes, but find (and be very picky) a good neurologist (maybe specializing in epilepsy) in your area. Medication is not necessarily the only option. Get more than one opinion. For this particular condition, your doctor makes all of the difference.

Yes, my nephew was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was about two years old... his seizures were controlled very well with the medication... the Dr. Would change the dose from time to time as needed to control the seizures. After being seizure free for two years he was cleared and has outgrown his epilepsy... ~~

I know if it's the "High Fever" type of seizures, my little girl did. She still has unusually high fevers when she is sick but the seizures disappeared. They stopped when she was around 4.

If they are febrile seizures, yes. Alot of children have seizures with a fever but they outgrown them.

my husband starting getting them when he was seven. he out grew them when he was 12. he has not had one since and is not on med. good luck .
