you will never ever truly get over somebody, the trick is to find somebody that will give you more love and care that he did and the only way you can do that is by yes dating other guys. sometimes people get in their head thinking there is only one person out there for them but there are many fish in the sea as it is said, but don't go on with your life trying to push him out of your life keep him in it in kind of doses so that you can still have the friend ship because it sounds like you miss him and you only miss people that you are away from so be sure to keep in touch so that your mind isn't wondering off to think about him if that makes sense

I'm trying to understand your question. I think you are saying that you are broken up and still love him? You can't forget about him. Would dating others help you forget him? If this is what your asking- NO. You may go out with someone else but when you are in love with someone it takes a long time but dating and keeping busy helps. Once you truly love someone it is hard to just stop. They will always have a special place in your heart but it doesn't mean you can't love again. I think you love people in different ways for different reasons. Just keep busy and do things for yourself. Don't be looking for someone to replace this person because it usually ends with hurt feelings. Take your time you will know when your ready. Learn from your past. The closing of one door is the opening of another. Look ahead.

No, you should not date other guys to forget him. Give yourself some alone time. Go out and hang out with your friends or family. Some neurtral ground. At first it will be hard not to think about him, but pretty quick you will start to think less and less about him.
If you keep in touch with him, it will make it harder to cut the string. So no phone calls or seeing him or anything like that. It will just bring up the other emotions that you have for him.
After you get some good time going and you don't think about him everyday, it would be safe for you to start seeing other guys with the intentions of establishing something.
Good luck

Bringing another man into your life is not the answer to get over another man. That can back fire on you. First of all you are still in love with him: so how can you even begin to move on! You cant! You have to ask yourself the pros and cons of loving him: and what ever you come up with and the feeling in your gut is what you need to follow. (on top of that asking the Lord for your happiness and to guide you in the direction that is best for you) It may be hard or it may be easy, but only you can make that change.

The easiest ways to begin to get over someone is to stay busy. However, you should not ruch yourself to date if you are not ready. Hangout with friends, shop, read, take up a new hobby. But, don't ruch yourself to date or begin a new relationship without allowing time to heal the wounds from your last love.

I think you should do other things to take your mind off of him. Don't date guys you don't want to just to get over him. It's okay to have feelings for awhile. But don't spend all your time thinking and wondering about him. Do what you like and surround yourself by things you love!
