Yes, there is. I use NetStumbler (free) to detect intruder or clients listed on my wi-fi area. If you just want to know, who is online, you can use the standard software along with the wi-fi device. I myself LinkSys, I could see how many IPs has been distributed by the Linksys, durations, and the activities.

Routers ussually come with software that when you log in you can see who is currently on your network and who has gained access in the past. Check your manuel.
