I love Chicken flavored ramen noodles that come in the package, but they are very unhealthy because of the sodium and the stuff that keeps it freeze dried. Does anyone know a homemade recipe for Chicken Flavored Ramen Noodles? Better yet, does anyone have a healthy version?

Umm, maybe you could buy uncooked noodles at the grocerry and also buy flavored spices along with chop up chicken slices or whatever you want chopped up. Make sure to boil the noodles first so they are soft and then add the ingredients later. Good luck! Sorry, I don't have a cook book, this is just from my head.

The kind of stuff they have for ramen are bad for you anyway, even the noodles. That's probably why if you leave the noodles in a plan for like three days at max, you get this awful stinky smell of like rotten "old" shoes.

Just my opinion.

...Oh and you can get the noodles anywhere. Just look for them or ask them for dried noodles. You can probably even get the spaghetti noodles.

If you experiment, you might get a new recipe

Homemade Noodles Recipe

3 c. flour
3 eggs
1/4 c. cold water
1 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. vegetable oil

Sift flour and salt into large bowl. Add slowly eggs, oil and water. Mix thoroughly until stiff dough. Knead 10 minutes, let stand 1 hour. Roll out paper thin and let sit for 10 minutes. Boil a large pan of water and slice dough into small flat noodles. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes in boiling water. Add to chicken broth for yummy homemade chicken and noodles.

My Grandma made a ramen type dish it is quick and easy

1) boil eggs and slice them
2) cook egg noodles in some chicken broth
3) take a can of chicken and put it in the noodles
4)slice green onions
5) ladle some of the noodles into your bowl and put the eggs and green onions on and if desired some soy sauce.

if you want you can use any meat in place of the chicken
cubed ham
kielbasa
browned ground beef(use beef broth for the noodles)
pot roast(again use Beef Broth)
this is yummy and filling and not as bad for you as packaged raman

I read on one site (http://busycooks.about.com/library/weekly/aa021603a.htm ) that "You can find low fat and baked ramen noodle mixes too, in most grocery stores and health food stores."
So maybe check out those places?

Anything I found was to add veggies to the ramen noodle mixes to make them healthier. Nothing about lower sodium.

I use canned broth or soup with the rice noodles that cook just in hot liquid-that way you can just nuke the broth, dump the noodles in and it's done. This is great for work. Use low fat, low sodium broth and there you are.
