Puppies should not be walked longer than a block at a time. Their bone structure, cartilidge, and joints are just beginning to develop and walking too much can harm them. Especially if you are walking a pure bred dog. That's where hip dysplasia starts and can be triggered. My suggestion and most vets would suggest to go for short walks and then carry your pet the rest of the way. And your pup needs to be up on all his shots. He can catch many things from other dogs that can kill them.

I live in an area where Parvo is rampant. The vets here suggest a fourth puppy shot. Better to be safe than sorry.

I just had my puppies 2nd set of shots, and the vet said it was safe to take her on walks. Just to be on the safe side, dont let her go into yards...incase of anything in thier yard...but it should be safe to take them now.

You shouldn't really listen to the pet shop over the vet ever. Usually, you shouldn't have your dog around other dogs until they have their kennel cough vaccine and if you're going to be around unpredictable dogs that might bite, you need to wait until her rabies vaccination.

But anyway, ALWAYS listen to your vet.
