I see nothing wrong with coming online to ask advice about this- please ignore the trolls on here!
I've had 2 miscarriages as well. Then I got PG again in Sept '05, started bleeding around 9 weeks and ran to the ER, thinking the worst once again. Well, he made it - my baby boy was born a week late in June of '06! I ended up bleeding off and on for a few weeks starting at the 9th week, kept going back for more ultrasounds, and everything would always be fine. I guess sometimes bleeding means something bad, and sometimes it doesn't. Can't explain it to this day. At 5 weeks it is too early for an ultrasound (can't see the heartbeat until around 7 weeks), but the doc will check your HCG levels (pregnancy hormone in your blood) and if they are falling it means you are miscarrying, if they are at the level they should be you are not miscarrying, but I would have them keep a close eye on you and give you plenty of ultrasounds in the coming weeks. If you do miscarry I would suggest testing to see if you have conditions that cause miscarriage repeatedly, they are all very treatable! One place that helped me a lot during my last PG was the "Multiple Miscarriages" board on Babycenter.com. Those ladies were awesome and gave me lots of hope and info! I hope everything is ok, but if not, do NOT give up hope for the future!

Well normally, light bleeding isn't a huge deal especially that early in pregnancy, but because of your history you should definitely call the doctor. This pregnancy is probably considered higher risk and should be tracked a little closer just to ensure a safe and healthy pregnancy. I'm sure everything is fine, but you just need to make sure. Good luck, hope everything goes great this time!

I would go straight to the docs. I have also had 3 miscarriages and its not a nice thing. It isnt abnormal for light pink bleeding to happen this early, but i would want to go and get checked right away!!!!!!!!

unfortunately, ANY BLEEDING during pregnancy is NOT normal! unless you are in labor--
please go to your doctor and get checked out.

I've seen a lot of people answer questions on here just to be jerks, dont listen to them
but if you are bleeding-there is something wrong. no matter how little or how light the blood is
you need to see the doctor or go to the er.

I hate when people come online telling us that they have a sad history with their pregnancies, and yet solicit advice ONLINE. Go see your physician. If you cared about keeping the pregnancy and having a healthy child, you would have been to him already. Not sitting online asking strangers who don't have a clue of your medical history or the exact type of bleeding you are having. For the sake of your future child - GO TO THE DOCTOR.

Call your Dr. !!!!
Call the hospital!!!!!!
This is not a situation to be left to laymen. You need a healthcare professional now, or at least to talk to one.
