You don't have to be a Christian or Jewish to immigrate to Canada. In fact Canada is a very secular society where one's faith is not considered a factor for anything at all. We have many people from the middle east and other parts of the world who immigrate to this country and most of them pursue a very peaceful and prosperous life. You should go the Canadian embassy/consulate in Baghdad or contact the nearest embassy in the region and submit your credentials and apply either as a 'Self-sponsored' applicant or refugee.

I hope and wish you good luck.

It should be no problem. Most people think of Canada as a christian nation, but the truth is most people in Canada don't care at all about religion.

Plus, most Canadians are very mad about the war in Iraq. Once people find out that's why you're there they would probably be very nice to you.

Edit:
Also, being from Iraq you could visit Canada, and ask for Asylum. If CIC decides that sending you home would probably kill you, they would let you stay.

Because we believe that many of the prophecies, of what we know as the Old Testament, were fulfilled in Jesus. The Jewish people are still looking toward the fulfillment of these prophecies. We believe that we are now in "The Time of the Gentiles" which will one day end with the return of the "Time of the Jews". Over the centuries there have been those who tried to teach that the "Time of the Jews" is over, but there is nothing to suggest that God has every discarded the Jewish People. We believe that we are currently in a "Time of the Gentiles" that will come to an end and that God at that time will once again interact with the Jewish people primarily. Over the past 20 centuries there have been those that have tried to say that the Jewish people no longer matter, that God is through with them and have used it as justification to harass and persecute them. There is nothing in the New testament to suggest that, only that for a time God has chosen to interact with the Gentiles, and that time will come to an end. It should be noted that only one author of the New Testament was not Jewish. It is believed that Luke may have been a gentile. I believe that Jesus lived his whole life as a Jew. Many of the early followers of Jesus considered themselves to be Jews. The differences and the personalities have clashed over the years and many have used that as an excuse to make claims against the Jewish people that are not supported by the evidence of the New Testament. Shalom.

As a Canadian Citizen I think it is absolutely ridiculous that you think that Canada wouldn't be accept you. Canada is made up of so much diverse cultures that it would be absolutely insane if you weren't accepted. As a person of Ethnicity I know it is hard to be accepted, but I believe that you have a better chance of living life in Canada than any where else.

Canada does not discriminate with respect to race or religion. Very many people who are non-Christian and non-Jewish are accepted. The critieria in the skilled workers category are education, knowledge of English and/or French, employment experience, age, arranged employment in Canada and adaptability. It's a points based system. From the information you provided, I would expect that you would have a good chance at success. Very many people who are non-Christian and non-Jewish are accepted.

I'm Canadian, and I have no problem with Muslims. Canada has a different view on other cultures. In my country we have an ideal called the Canadian Mosaic. The Canadian Mosaic is a belief where peoples from other parts of the world are encouraged to practice their own beliefs, religions, and cultures. This enriches the Canadian culture. This is one aspect of my country in which I am very proud of. We accept people for who they are, and you don't have to hide where you come from.

I have a problem with u cuz Arabs & muslims in general like to come & live in the west because of our freedom, equality, harmony, love, christian culture & tradition, but then after we let u, u start growing ur beard, put ur head scarfs on, preach hate & death to us. We open 4 u our homes, then u want to distroy us & hate the way we live & dress. I suggest, why don't u then immigrate to rich muslims countries who carry ur traditions & believes like Saudi Arabia, Emirate, Qatar, etc. ??? Their u could grow ur beards & marry 4 women & treat them like goats & ur women could cover their bodies in black from top to bottom !!!
