good for you that you broke up with him!
the question about having him back, is first, he has to PROVE that its gonna change. if the sitiuation where he showed that he didn't want ppl to noe arrises again, you wait and see his reaction.
if he still doesn't change, then you can walk away and don't look back!
but if he really changed,
you still have to ask yourself, if he were to change only for a short period of time, will you be able to cope with it?

I would never take him back not in a million years. You did the best thing because if he cared enough i don't think he could be ashamed to tell the world you are his girlfriend. It means he was hiding something from you and may he was also lying to someone else. May be he had another girl who he didn't want to loose but he also wanted to flirt with other girls and that happens to be you.
Don't take him back he might disappoint you the second time and it will be hard for you to handle.

i was in the same situation and i did the same thing if the person you are going out with does not want ppl to know about u 2 then thats it i would not stand for it if u want to be with some one then u have to be able to let other ppl know to not just keep it 2 ur self you did the right thing

thats good for you, what a jerk! you should never take anyone's shyt like that. And if i was in the same situation your in i would have done the same thing. And please dont let that sweet talk of his make you want to change your mind and take him back. Let him know what he has missed out on.

Hey,
Well, it depends did he say why he didn't want people to know ya'll were going out. That happened to a friend of mine, but the thing is they were both really bad at relationships so they didn't want the pressure of their friends to ruin it. Maybe he has relationship issues and didn't want to ruin it. Just ask him what the reason was. However, if he was embarrised to go out with you (which I don't think that's the reason) than it's good you dumped him. Good Luck! ;)

Well, I would have done the same thing and it depends if I really like him but he shouldn't have thought about what people would say rather than your relationship, so I guess I wouldn't take him back because if he really loved or liked me he would not think about people he would think about me.(period)

Find out the true reason why he wasn't wanting others to know.
There are two main reasons:
- He's embarassed.
- He's afraid. (Yes, this one does occur. He's afraid that you will leave him, so he doesn't make your relationship public, to prevent everyone from knowing if things do not work out.)
