I'm from Australia and we've had lower than average rainfalls for a few years, resulting in widespread droughts and state-wide water restrictions. Is this happening elsewhere in the world?

<>There's ALWAYS a drought in Africa! :) Seriously, there is usally someplace(s) in the world each year that is experiencing drought conditions. While this may or may not have anything to do with "global warming," it certainly has to do climactic conditions such as currents and prevailing winds. Things like the Gulf Stream, Ninos, and other phenomenon can carry water-laden air away form land masses at a phenomenal rate. And that's what's going on in Australia this year. Conserve water and cheer up! It'll probably be someone else's turn next year!

"Nothing is created, nothing is destroyed, everything is transformed".

Somalia had 10 years of no rainfalls. You must know about them.
The scientist say that the air pollution increased its opacity and so the air current who should bring the rain season had a temperature with few degrees less. This caused the water vapors to condensate sooner, thus no rainfalls in Somalia.

The clean water is a world wide problem and it is not necessary connected to rain.
