I need to find information from a reputable source that confirms the possibility of visual side effects caused by nicotine withdrawal. If at all possible, something that explains how/why this occurs.

I have never experienced that but I have heard that quiting smoking is worse that quiting heroin.

That's extremely unusual but may be possible. Nicotine withdrawal usually peaks in a few days and symptoms gradually get better. Does this only occur when you're attempting to withdraw from nicotine? Is anything else going on? Are you also attempting to stop something like habitual drinking? Hallucinations are common during alcohol withdrawal and withdrawal from some other drugs but not nicotine. If this persists you should definitely see a doctor. It could also be migraines. You can get a migraine and have visual disturbances without the actual headache. Talk to you doctor because I've never heard of nicotine withdrawal causing hallucinations.

It didn't with me. You could try a website for nicotine gum or patches. They would have the most "official" data.

yes, I've tried to quit a couple times and it affects my vision but I don't see things.
