I am slightly overweight, I am not on a birth control pill, I never ever have blow dried my hair or used any products beside shampoo and conditioner (since 13 years I've been using Pantene pro-V for thin hair) My hair is falling out a lot, this had never before happen! I did not eat any kind of meat since 1997, but I try to eat fish once a week.
The scary part is that I have realized that I have hair growth on my back, just like a man. The hair on my back is thick and black and grows in singles all over my upper back.
I don't have PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) or problems with my thyroids. My next appointment with an endocrinologist is in March; I am going to lose all my hair by then. Did anyone had this problem, please help...
I am 33 years old.

Have you had a baby recently? I had my hair fall out like that after the births of my children. I mean, so bad it was clogging up the drain so that they water couldn't go down every single time I showered. I think the hair on the back thing is just an age thing though. I have like 4 random ones that grow since I was about your age. I have my husband pluck out for me every time they grow in. A lot of it is slowing down of metabolism. It's good that you're going to see an endocrinologist though. Best to get a professional opinion. Try not to stress too much about it though. That can make the condition worse. Stress wrecks havoc on your body in so many ways. Maybe that's something else to consider. If you have been under an abnormal amount of stress lately that could also produce these symptoms.

God bless you!

I would recommend that you see your doctor. You may have a hormone imbalance that may be remedied by a change in diet (make sure your physician knows about convictions of not eating meat) or vitamin supplements. I have a vegen friend that was experiencing similiar symptoms, and after seeing a doctor a few minor changes really helped her. Good luck!

You won't lose all your hair. Your hair will grow back. My hair falls out even though I'm only a 11 years old kid. But it got better now. I used Head and Shoulders. Try using beer to wash your hair. I read it in a magazine.

Maybe you need to drink nothing but water and go to the drug store and ask the pharmacist for a multivitamin, and supplements to fit your needs and then give them a couple of weeks for results.
