rabies shots only cost $6-$10 at animal services in most areas, which everyone can afford. The other shots are also available at discounted prices (about half the cost) through low cost vaccination clinics. Please do not administer vaccinations on your own. The medicines and injections need to be administered by a professional. There is a lady I know of that lives in the country and she claims that she administers her own vaccinations because she can't afford to vaccinate all her animals. I went to a vet and he said all the vaccinated animals would need to be re-vaccinated (when they are adopted out away form the lady) because there is no guarantee that the vaccinations the lady gave were good (the medicine did not come from a vet office). Please try luvmypet.com. Also, call your local animal shelter to find out where low cost vaccinations are administered.

Contact your local pound or shelter. They should be able to tell you where clinics are. The clinics here charge $10 for rabies shots. You can give the other puppy shots yourself. Check with feedstores or pet shops for ones that carry them. Go on line and find out what your puppies require to stay healthy but they need at least three puppy shot-the first one should be a five way, then seven way, then 8 way.
If you cannot afford the correct care for puppies, you need to get your dogs spayed/neutered so that you don't continually keep having puppies that are not properly cared for. A local shelter or SPCA may be able to help you financially and give you lots of good information.
Please, please, please-there are so many unwanted pets. Stop having puppies.

you can give the Distemper, Hepatitis, adenovirus2, parainfluenza, leptospirosis, parvo, corona combination shot on your own. ONLY A VETERINARIAN CAN LEGALLY GIVE A RABIES SHOT! As for classes, I doubt if you will find a class just for vaccinations.. however you can teach yourself! Look for books or talk to your local vet for sources.. good luck!

no you do not have to be certified to give the dog his rabie shots. i got my boxer pup from lousianna and i bought all her shots i needed from the feed store there . packed them in ice brought them home and i gave her all her shots. when my sistes beagle had pups.. she also gave them all their shots. you can give them their shots just keep the lables. when i got the rabie shot from the feed store they also gave me the tag. and maybe it depends on what state you live in. but when i wen to my vets to take her in form a scratch on her eye. they had no problem with me giving her her shots. it would be the same for if your cat or dog needed insulin shots you would have to administer them. good luck but if i can give my boxer her shots you should be able to do so also
