My 2004 2wd Ram 2500 came stock with 17 inch wheels but i would prefer 16 inch wheels due to a better tire selection and price. So will 16's fit?

No I don't think the 16 inch wheels will fit your 04 Ram2500 if they came stock with 17" rims.

I believe the 16's will not fit because you will not have enough clearance with the 16" rim to fit over your heavy duty brake disc's/rotors and calibers on your Ram2500.

I looked into this for my 04 Ram3500 CTD for winter rims but I could not because of my caliber and brake disc/rotor size would not fit a 16 inch rim. So, I just use my stock rims for winter and ride on 18 inch rims for summer. However, if you are unsure about it talk to your local tire shop to test fit a 16 inch 8 bolt rim on your truck to see the clearance.

Yes. All 3/4 ton Dodge wheels have 8 holes in the same pattern. Be sure to match the tie height so you won't have change the speedometer settings.

go to a good tire and wheel and dealer and ask them what will fit.

to avoid needing an alignment, you should maintain your total diameter the same.

if you reduce your rim size by 1 inch, you should increase your tire size by the same. that way the speedometer and alignment remain the same.

good luck though, it is a little harder to find nice rims for heavy duty trucks because of the needed weight rating.

Yes they will but I before buying tires I would talk to a mechanic or someone experianced about which tire size you will need to compensate for the 1" loss off the rims. This will affect the spedo reading if you get too small or large of tires.

Most likely YES

im guessing u can even put 18's on it
but since it's a 2500 it must weight a lot
so i would stick with Smaller Rims MORE TIRE (Rubber)

check with a local tire dealer cuz some trucks have big rotors so thats why they have certain size rims.they might need clearence.if they fit then go with a bigger tire so you dont have to change speedo.
