You place your hand on His bible, when you swear to tell the truth.
His name is on our greatest monuments an' all our money too.
An' when we pledge allegiance, there's no doubt where we stand:
There's no separation, we're one nation under Him.

In God, we still trust here in America,
He's the one we turn to every time the going gets tough.
He is the source of all our strength, the one who watches over us.
Here in America, in God, we still trust.

Instrumental break.

Now there are those among us,
Who want to push Him out.
And erase his name from everything,
This country's all about.
From the schoolhouse to the courthouse,
They're silencing His word,
And now it's time for all believers,
To make our voices heard.

In God, we still trust here in America,
He's the one we turn to every time the going gets tough.
He is the source of all our strength, the one who watches over us.
Here in America, in God, we still trust.
Here in America, in God, we still trust.
Here in America,
Here in America, in God, we still trust.
Here in America, in God, we still trust.
Here in America

This is a free country and by the constitution have the right to practice our religion or no religion at all.

And No - It is not required to swear upon a Bible.
And No - the original Pledge of Allegiance did not include the phrase "Under God" - that was a scam by Senator Joe McCarthy in 1954 to demonize any and all whom he disliked by branding them communists. With the urging of the Knights of Columbus, "under God" was added to the Pledge of Allegiance.

For those who say "if you don't believe in God, then leave", those people are just as bad as the Taliban. Think about it!

I'm not a 100% believer yet I'm not against having bible study in public schools as long as it's an elective class. If the public schools and buildings have monuments of christian faith, they should also have monuments of the other faiths even if that faith is supported by ONE Individual.

Our country, although we vote on many things - the option to display one religious article or the other should not be voted upon. It should just be allowed.

US Citizens from all religious and non religious backgrounds fought and died for this country, not just Christians.

Don't push your religion and beliefs on everyone else. I know too many who think they are almighty themselves and think their sh_t doesn't stink because they go to church yet those are the ones who are the biggest hypocrites.

Funny thing is, The ones that yell the loudest to take God out of America are the ones that pray for help when the going gets tough. I for one would be afraid to speak against God...I need too much help.
This country was founded so we would be free to worship without persecution. We as Christians had better stand up for OUR rights before the idiots take it away.

america doesnt even know the GOD of the BIBLE anymore.............americas god is money, gluttony(that is why most people in the country are obese),materialistic. If americans believed in god why are the not allowed to pray out loud at schools etc. Why are they not allowed to evangelize openly, why are they not allowed to mention JESUS CHRIST except as a swear word, why do the mvies always portray christians as weak people and the godless as strong..............I can carry on............america(except for a few people) dont know GOD

LOL 85% of Americans may call themselves Christian, but they most certainly are not practicing Christians.

Remember, the God of Christianity, Judaism and Islam is the same God, so being Christian doesn't really have anything to do with it.

Oh I trust in God too. Apparently that God lives on little green pieces of paper with different numbers on them which I can use to get just about anything I want, including Eternal Salvation if I give it to Benny Hinn.
