I already saw my doctor a few times and they did a few test, but they can't find anything. I've been having this chest pain for a few months already and now it's getting worst. It's on my upper left chest. I had Stress Test, Heart Ultrasound, Chest X-ray, and had my thyroid test. Everything came out negative. My doctor said that my heart is in good condition. My pain is very uncomfortable, I've been having a hard time to breath now, I feel like I'm being choked (slightly), and my left chest feel tight. I'm so frustrated that I don't even know what to do anymore. My doctor just gave me a Pamelor, but I'm not depressed at all, I'm not even stess. I'm 32 yrs. old, height is 5"6, and 122 lbs. I don't smoke, I don't drink, and never did drugs. My doctor also said that it could be some type of nerve discomfort, but she can't tell me exactly. The tightness sensation seem to be connected to the left side of my neck also. PLEASE, I NEED SOME ADVICE.

ohh... i had been having such type of pains.. u feel breathless n sweaty.. tight chested.. i used to think i was getting a heart attack.. my body used to get cold... i did many tests, but as it turns out all my reports were clear.. except that i had a gastric erosion.. sometimes gastric probelms make u feel really bad.. i advice u go to a general physician n consult him whether u should go to a Gastroenterologist
my doc had been treating me for stress too.. i had ben taking these pills (raciper & paxidep).
i am no doc.. but try this out.. get ur endoscopy done (on the advice of a doc ofcourse)
sometimes stress & gastric probs combined can make u feel really bad... oh yes i must add.. these gastric probs tend to get u all stressed too..

You may have a herniated spinal disc. I had one and they thought it was my heart and gave me stress tests and all that too and they were clean. Then a PA decided to turn me around and started pressing on my spine from the neck down and sure enough, I had a spinal disc out of whack that caused the same pains you have. How I got it? I guessed I picked up my heavy vacuum cleaner the week before and when I stood up I remember hearing a small pop and a bit of pain back there, but that was all - really forgetable. The next day all the pains were in my left chest and upper arm. Thus began a week of pain and waste of time with those stupid tests AND an overnight in the hospital cardiac unit under observation for a possible heart attack. Go back to your doctor and asked to be checked for a herniated spinal disc.

Why not try a Chiropractic adjustment or Accupuncture, since allopathic medicine seems not to be able to assist you. I once had a pain in my upper left chest like a catching sensation whenever I would breathe. Turns out it was a little viral thing in that place. My doctor gave me one pill and it did the trick. Sorry, I don't know the name of the condition but will try to research it for you just in case this is it although your symptoms, overall, sound a bit different.

Could it be GERD? (gastroesophageal reflux disease)
Do you drink a lot of coffee or eat a lot of salty or spicy foods?

The main symptoms are persistent heartburn and acid regurgitation. Some people have GERD without heartburn. Instead, they experience pain in the chest, hoarseness in the morning, or trouble swallowing. You may feel like you have food stuck in your throat or like you are choking or your throat is tight. GERD can also cause a dry cough and bad breath.

I have that all the time and the one time I went to see a Dr for it he said it had to do with indigestion.
