Different girls obsess about their looks for different reasons. Some obsess because they don't believe they are beautiful and aren't told they are beautiful often enough. And others, don't want to just be naturally beautiful, but want to be more beautiful than all the other girls around her and make herself stand out in order to impress guys.

Last summer a guy told the story in an answer about how once a month he buys a bunch of roses and goes out on a street corner and gives a rose to every lady who passes by him. I thought that was one of the coolest things I have ever heard.
Women are the most amazing creatures. Truly God's masterpiece!

Hate to tell you this, but most females obsess over their looks to impress other women...at the office, at school, at the club.
I agree though, all people not just women should worry more about the way they behave and how they treat others rather than how they look.

Thank you I think my self esteem is lowered by the fact that im 200 lbs and have horrible acne. With out my proactive and a lot of make up I look like ive been horribly burned. I lost one pound last week by limiting my bacon intake. I hope to keep up the good work.

I know!!! ^_^ I am soooooo gorgeous!!!!! JK! But girls just have the habit. And girls want boys to like them, and girls don't know what boys are thinking! I just wish all the boys were like you! and i totally agree with the person that said that women r a women's enemy!

wow i wish all guys would see it the way u do
but not all guys do, and its hard to find the ones that do see it how u do...so by that i mean we obsess cuz it be ok with ourselfs and not have a guy(unless u get lucky) or do obsess and find a guy
its lame and all but its what we do its sumthing not many gurls can control because of competition and how other guys make us feel

I don't wear make-up(don't need it)...I only dress up when I am going somwhere important, and my way of dressing turns heads everywhere I go...even when I am not trying...I don't straighten my hair unless I want to because I beleive my curly hair is beautiful...
I agree with you fully...natural is much much beautiful
