These days all the negative "ism's" are basically the same thing, but it's not racism becuase that deals with one's race.
Wikipedia (my best friend) says,
"When racism, a belief, is applied in practice, it takes forms such as prejudice, discrimination, segregation or subordination. Racism can more narrowly refer to a system of oppression, such as institutional racism." -source one
...The word discrimination comes from the Latin "discriminare", which means to "distinguish between". However, discrimination is more than distinction, it is action based on prejudice resulting in unfair treatment of people. To discriminate socially is to make a distinction between people on the basis of class or category without regard to individual merit. Examples of social discrimination include racial, religious, sexual, disability, ethnic, height-related, and age-related discrimination." -source 2
I know that's more then what you want but I guess it's an attempt to clarify.

No. Racism is based on ethnicity, not faith.
That's generally called secterianism inside the same broad religion. Not sure if it has a broader term. Interesting.

They both mean the same in some ways, but it would be classified as discrimination. Like you said, religion is not a race!

No, it's "hate based on religion." Racism strictly refers to prejudice based on race.

It is not racism because racism is hate to another race, but it certainly is as destructive as rascism. Hating another human being for not being part of your group or think different to you is stupid and destructive. That is the source of genocide.
