I have frequent dreams about needing to find a bathroom when I'm out somewhere. When I find the bathroom it always ends up having no door. People all around me are using the toilet with no door either, but they don't seem to mind. I, on the other hand, am horrified and search desperately to find one with a door, but always to no avail. Sometimes the toilet is right in the middle of the room and people are standing all around me doing various things, like shopping, talking, eating food, etc. I try desperately to "go" without being noticed. Sometimes the toilets are filthy dirty with rust or someone else's "remains". Sometimes the toilet turns into a flat board and I feel I have no choice but to "go" all over the board. Then I try to hide it or clean it up but there is never anything to clean it with. I always wake up feeling humiliated, and frustrated, and ashamed. I hate these dreams. I am sick of them. I have them several times a month. I wish they would stop.

WOW--those dreams have got to wear you out. I bet you are exhausted when you wake up.

Try stay away from spicy food late at night. No kidding. Pizza makes me have crazy dreams.

I have that kind of dream quite frequently - but you have to realize it is just a dream. Don't let it have power over you. Try this technique - it sounds strange, but it works.

The next time you have the dream and wake up feeling like that. Lay there in bed and make yourself go back into the dream. Just imagine it all over again - but this time, make it end how you want it to. Suddenly pull a large curtain out of your bag, cover yourself and finish your business in private. Or whatever fixes the situation for you.

I have used this technique many times and it works, it gives you closure and empowers you. With practice, this will carry thru into the dream and you will make the dream go your way.

It could mean that you are in need of more privacy in your life and are not getting it. Or better yet, it could mean that you are in need of more "solitude" and need to seek that out more.

Something is definitely bothering you though. Do you have problems using a public restroom with others around? Could your dreams be related to the issue of the dream directly?

If possible, talk this out with a trusted friend or counselor. Sooner or later, a possible answer will come to you.

I empathize with you. Good luck and I hope you have an answer to all of this soon.

They suggest that there is a need for emotional and psychological cleansing. You may need to get rid of emotional and psychological baggage. It is difficult to be carefree and happy when old issues keep "bringing you down." The bathroom is a good dream symbol.

It's symbolic! It means something like.... You have to go, and it's the middle of the night... and you can't seem to get up... and slowly you lose control of your bowels and for some odd reason you hear no splash...

And then you wake up and realize your brother dropped some brownie crumbs on the bed.

Something along those lines. :)

Piss on the people and tell them to call you George Bush and that you dont give a ****. This should make you wake up proud and confident.
