I don't mean this to be rude, though I am VERY sure some, if not all, will take it that way. If you fully believe in God, having what can only be blind faith, then why does everyone stop believing in Santa? I mean, be honest, if you come to the conclusion that God exists, then must it not also be a possibility that Santa could exist? Or, that vampires (real, not people who get fang implants) could be real? Or that fairies could exist? The list could go on and on, but I'm sure you get the point. What makes God so believable, and all these others rubbish? I know there's the bible, but there are books about all these other things as well. And, I am sure you could find people who would swear they have seen each and everyone. Please be polite, because even though I question your belief, I am NOT insulting it.

Masked Man: you apparently don't understand the question, but were rude anyway, do you consider yourself "Christian"? I don't think you are repesenting other Christians or your God in an appropriate manner.

The legend of Santa is based on a real person, much like Christianity is based on Jesus, and his time on earth, the Bible, ect.

You are wrong, if Santa's not real, who bfought my christmas presents!!!!! Nah, only joking, you are absolutely right. They only believe in god because he is supported by a large establishment which, ironically, is what Jesus fought against. Poor old Santa misses out.

For one its not "blind" faith, there isnt a person who believes in God that wasnt shown evidence. The mere fact we cannot see Him does not make the faith blind any more than not being able to see a headache is believing blindly they exist.
Another thing, about Santa...We would still believe in Santa if gifts magically appeared under the tree when we are adults too and didnt have our parents confess that yes, it was them all those years leaving the gifts. As adults, we know WE buy the gifts and leave them under the tree... but we still cant make life form out of nothing.

That's a simple question to answer and no you're not being rude. Santa isn't real, not only because you cant see him but also because you can't prove the things that he does. Do you have any presents that Santa gave you? Do you have any letters that he wrote? Of course not.
God on the other hand, even though he can't be seen, one can prove over and over again the wonderful works that he has done. The fact that you wake up every morning and can come to this computer and voice your opinions are just a fraction of his great works.
Even though I can't see him, the miracles that happen in my life and the lives of others around me every day attest to his awesome presence.
May God bless you throughout 2007 hon.

That isn't at all rude.
It's really quite simple. Santa is said to have a tangible, observable effect, specifically the distribution of toys (and coal to the naughty children). God doesn't have a tangible observable effect. When you find out it's your parents giving you the toys, you know there's no Santa. But since God isn't physically doing anything, he can't be disproved. Most claims about God are so vague and 'spiritual' that the proposed actions of the God are indistinguishable from his nonexistence.

Santa is and was always the similitude of Jesus Christ who has given the greatest gift possible. He has given us eternal life by letting man take his and paying the penalty of sin which is death he could take his body up again simply because he had no sin there for did not deserve to die but by taking his body up he then stands between God and man. He can and will take our sins that he paid for and cleansing us with his blood before God. Thus we have adapted Santa as a similitude of Christ by giving gifts to one another. Yes we do play Santa to children but no harm is done if they know why and who is the great gift giver when they are old enough to understand in fact I think it may even help in a lot of ways.

You are working from an incorrect assumption or two. You are placing God and Santa Claus on the same level for the sake of your comparison. You are also saying that belief in God is blind faith.
I know that the Christmas gifts I have received over the years are not from Santa. I know that belief in him leaving presents for kids is fantasy.
I know that the answered prayers and the salvation of which I am assured are not fantasy.
Based on that, both of your assumptions do not hold up.
The Bible does have books written about its verification and authenticity.

It is human nature throughout all civilizations in history to seek after some form of god or god(s)... the same does not apply to Santa. Everyone questions the existence of a creator.

Santa really doesn't exist, kids over in developing Countries only get presents through PEOPLE. Vampires sort of do exist - however not as what you see on hollywood it is a medical condition needing blood transfusions, allergical to garlic and silver. Fairies - well at the moment I am seeing serious signs of drought, and in that fairy show I watched about the forrest, they fixed it and that is happening...
I have seen God work, I have seen God move I know He exists and that is not Blind faith that is evidentiary fact.

Life is so amazingly complex. Human DNA is like 3 billion bases long, it is a code in a perfect sequence. The human brain processes millions actions every second! The eye has millions of light sensitive cells. Did all of this come about by chance? Hypothetically, you don't expect computers, satellites, etc. to arise out of chance, but you know they came from intelligent minds. Why can't life also come from a creator? Without God, life has no purpose, meaning there is no absolute right vs. wrong. Did nature give us free-will, is it possible?

Well, God left me a note while He was here, called the Bible. No fairies have left me one etc. Not only that Saint Nicholas (Santa Claus)was a real person. He lived in Asia Minor.
