Running is a cardio workout, therefore it is working on longterm endurance. There are many other beneficial cardio workouts, one suggested swimming.

Swimming is very healthy due to its cardio and aerobic properties, research suggests swimming works every single bone in your body.

Bicycling is the same way to work up your cardio the same way running is, although it is not beneficial unless you go in a high gear and lift your butt off the seat and go.

I am not sure how much you want to cancel out running but stairs are VERY good workout, hop, run, jog, sprint, and jump up and down stairs. Alternate feet while hopping, skip stairs. Mix it up, have fun with it.

One otherone is a slightly elevated platform, just going up and down one foot after another...

the possiblities are endless, anything that gets your pulse high is a good workout and almost identical to running.

I am a certified personal trainer. What do you mean by workout. Are you trying to lose weight or be healthier? If you are going for the looks you will never ever be satisfied with the way you look no matter how thin or muscular you are. That is a fact. So, what is your goal in wanting to "workout"?

For a man I'd advise boxing. It is about the best CV workout and it also builds muscle without lifting weights. I do at least 3 classes a week and totally love it.

A stairstepper is good. Does anyone else wonder if Masked man doesn't have anything better to do? Neat trick, though.

Swimming, or walking laps in a shallow pool. The water resistance is great, while preserving your joints.

I like in-line skating. It's like doing hundreds of lunges without all the pressure on your knees. Plus, it's lots more interesting!
