1.) Satan has misled the whole world with lies.

1John 5:19,20 says: 19 We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one. 20 But we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us intellectual capacity that we may gain the knowledge of the true one. And we are in union with the true one, by means of his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and life everlasting.

2.) God is God of order not of confusion. It is man who tries to outsmart the perfect God, that's when the confusion began.

because people translate the Bible differently. you can take a verse and ask 50 people what it means and get 50 different answeres. some will be similar but still. and no it is not that the Bible is mistranslated cause they have shown it to not be. and most beliefs use the same Bible. i know many beliefs who all use the King James Version. and i also know people who used the NIV and still came with the same belief as myself. and most people just go to church anyways. and go were they feel welcomed at. and most beliefs are similar. were i live the baptist, nazerene, assembly of God, church of Jesus Christ all preach the same thing. one might believe that a female should not were makeup or something but they are all similar. then you have us. i am an apostolic penticostal. and then you have catholics and mormons and johovahs(spelling). not to many different beliefs. but some.

and some want to do there own things so they make something to fit what they want. if they enjoy gambling they will find or make a religion that does not preach against that. and might say all you need is to ask God into your life and you are saved or something.

Because of the false wannabe gods, spirits.

Also, people can get self righteous when they aren't right about God, and argue with someone else who is right and then there is division & confusion. The truth is if the LORD God didn't reveal it to you, you might be wrong. We all are basically wrong about something sometime.

We all need to realize that there is one I AM or one LORD God. But God wants us to seek Him. He shows us many things when we do.

I think the confusion is also because people with false beliefs, doctrines, etc. confuse others because what they say isn't really true, even though that person thinks what they say is true.

Interesting question. First of all, you've got to understand that we are indeed a very primitive society that has only recently evolved out of the "dark ages". With that in mind, it is our primitive nature to believe all what is written in print - no matter how absurd or not it may be and no matter as to who actually wrote it, i.e that cave man who is responsible for one of the verses in Revelations. . God is one thing - but religion is "man made". All the different religions around the world are simply different interpretations of essentially the same thing - with our "primitive" society fighting over "who is correct" in their interpretations! I personally believe that religion really has nothing to do with God and that it the Roman Catholic Church is nothing more than organised "crime". It's just big business and corrupt as ever! Don't take my word for it..... - you can do your own research! Back to your question..... - perhaps there is 1 god - perhaps there are more.... - perhaps he / she / it / they or whatever are nothing more than a figment of our primitive imaginations?!?!?!?!?!?!? Who knows!!?!?!?!? I certainly don't! I am however open minded to other peoples thoughts on this subject! All I really know for sure is that history has shown to date that most wars and atrocities in this world have been over religion!

This Christian thinks that there is only one God. I also believe that there is a Satan. And the Bible says that Satan decieved the whole world. So thanks to him, we have so many religions in the world.

To add to that, we also have ignorance. And ignorance is something that man has within him even without a devil.

But this is the thing that really makes it possible for SOME people to know the truth; God wanted some of us. And He let some of us know that He is there and He helps us to understand what it is that He says and wants out of us.

The Bible also says that NONE of us even WANT to know Him, without His will working in us, we wouldn't know Him. That's the special thing that God does for me. He personally wants me to know Him. What I have to do is trust Him; otherwise called 'Faith.' Faith is trust.

So I can pray, and look in my Bible, and find out how God reacts to certain things. I get to know Him through the Bible and through His Spirit. It's really a great thing, because my life would otherwise just suck!

I hope that you are searching for Him by asking the question that you asked. E-Mail me if you want to talk about it. ( :

There is so much confusion because every person has there own unique perspective and has to filter all the multitude of information that we receive and make sense of it in their own way and come to their own conclusions. The conclusion will be different for every single person and will change with the broadening of our perspectives over time. How could we NOT be confused? We just have to do the best we can with what we have at the time.

No ifs, there is one and only one God the creator of everything in the universe,OK ? Now the many religions.., Religions dint come all at one time. Religion came one after another to perfect the human beings. Like you start your study from level one to level ten, then go to secondary school to college & then the university. If you drop you stay there & can stay there forever if you wish. You need to pass the tests for next higher stage . Reigions like this. From Adam(pbuh) to Muhammad(pbuh) came this way to preach religions for the mankind to practice & pass the tests so they can entitle themselves for the heavens. Got it?
Very simple no confusion, if you believe.

Thank you. Yes one God who has unlimited Names and can appear in unlimited forms. (He is unlimited you know) We can't put Him in our tiny world of ideas. The Vedas have descriptions of His names and forms. The Hindus get His superintendents of the material creation mixed up with Him. They lump them all together with God which is a sin. Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, Rama, etc. and then he also has a feminine, counterpart also known as Radha, Laxmi, Sita, etc.(God is love, which means relationship) Everything we experience here is a perverted reflection of God or His abode. Krishna says in the Gita- Whenever their is a decline in religious principals, and the truth appears to be lost, I appear again and again or send my representative, to reestablish the Truth." That is why so many religions. Because man misconstrues them then again He has to come or send someone to reestablish the truth. Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada is the most recent Pure messenger of God. Read Bhagavad Gita as it is BY Prabhupada and make your own decision. The truth is on e(universal) can't be changed no matter what religion. also go to gospelofthenazirenes. for the original teachings of Christ before king Constantine misconstrued everything.

because when the world was created and adam and eve "increased the earth" if ya know what I mean, some of their children might have believed in God for example, but just not felt like ever telling THEIR children about it, so the Children came up with what they felt like. I'm not saying this is what happened, it's just my opinion. the same thing could have happened but like their great-great-great-great great grandchildren or something

because god was an idea of man. people's perception differs.if you believe in god follow the path written by your religious texts without imposing your beliefs on others. if you believe that there are several paths to reach the god, there would be no confusion. for atheist, no confusion even there are thousands of religions exist as they don't believe in the existence of god.
