There are some people in this world that look for nothing but trouble. And like you said she could have been high on something or just mentally unstable. It's unfortunate that when we go into public places that we have to take a chance of dealing with such people but that is the world today.
I commend your boyfriend for being a nice guy and never hitting a woman. I think he did the right thing by telling her that he had a girlfriend and that he was happy and asking her nicely to stop. Unfortunately for her she had to be hard headed and want trouble and she ended up going to jail, which with the way she sounds is where she needs to be. Glad the owner and other customers seen & heard and got involved and stood up for your boyfriend.
He doesn't need to feel bad in any way. She was asking for trouble. Sadly ya happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time with the psycho wench! Just let him know how proud you are of him for standing up for you both and in the way he handled himself. Tell him you want to take him to Krispy Kreme to celebrate having such a wonderful man! LOL
Good luck to you both!

Well if she was getting all physical with him and he was just pushing her away? Then there is no way HE did anything wrong. Everyone always says we should walk away when things happen or get out of hand for us. It sounds like she was pretty set on making a scene. If you try to remove yourself from a situation and can't, then as long as the response wasn't more then it needed to be, you can't really be held responsible for just trying to get someone to back off. You didn't say he flat out hit her. Sooooooooo, I didn't get the impression he was out of line in pushing her away.....and if everyone in the resturant agreed she created the problem, thats all the vindication he should need.....I know it might be easier said then done, but he just needs to let it go.....when he can......

A nice guy will take the blame most of the time. I guess one way to cheer him up would be to list reasons on why it isn't his fault and tell him that even if he hadn't pushed her arm away, things probably wouldn't have changed. He was just a random victim for an angry woman.

Your boyfriend was 100% correct in what he did. He very effectively moved himself (and her) out of harms way. Tell him how proud you are that he can make such a good decision under pressure, and talk about how this makes you feel.
