I'm not Christian or Catholic, but I was asking some really religious kids a bunch of questions a long time ago. The way it was explained to me was that Earth is full of pleasurable things that are sinful. We have to be willing to give them up to join Him in Heaven or something like that.
Still not buying it..
Excuse me for being all preachy on your ***, but I believe in a Divine being, and it seems to me like those religions that follow the Old Testament really want to separate themselves from being animalistic and want to prove human as soulful creatures. Monogamy isn't natural anyway.

The term "premarital" hasn't been around that long.
The reason why is because marriage and sex meant the same thing in the old english bible.
Some jerk decided that people would only be married if they showed up in a certain building, stood in front of a priest, and got a license. Before that, a man and a woman who had sex simply called themselves married.
Only a divorce had to be in writing.
Technically, as soon as bodies are joined, the sex partners end up being "one" with each other.
The term "premarital" means nothing in the bedroom. It's a made up word used to make a mating couple feel guilty.
I do think you should have sex only with someone you love.
The term "fornication" has nothing to do with a man and woman who love one another, and do it.
Fornication is plain being a whore.
Sex is the marriage of bodies. That's why it feels good. It's not bad and sinful.
The first time you had sex, your body was married to the other person's body.
But that depends on whose rules you want to go by.

It's all a matter of where you live. For example, if you lived in Pohnpei premarital sex is the right thing to do. You are to have kids THEN marry.
No such thing as "sin". A better word would be immorality (and morality) which varies (vary) slightly from culture to culture.
For us, it's best to marry then have kids because it follows with education then work then family. Also, to make sure you love the guy (talking from a female perspective here) enough that you're willing to settle down and have children. For the Pohnpeians, it just happens to be the other way around for other reasons that seem right to THEM. Also, children there are freer when it comes to sex. It's looked at as a natural thing that isn't bad/wrong.
Really, the only negative thing to sex is transmitted diseases and such.
The reason why HERE (the Western world) young people shouldn't have sex and become pregnant is because we have a system that revolves around money and education. Have children too young and life gets MUCH harder for you.

so, think why animals are considered inocent creatures, and they do whatever they want and we can't. Who haven't stopped and think that our cats are more free than we are? Open your eyes people. Laws are made by God? is it his handwrite or are laws made by humans to control other humans?
It is true that world would be a caos without them, but everything in moderation. If it doesn't harm you or anybody else, them why not do it?
From those who comment before in favor of not having premarital sex I have a question? how many of then haven't done it? Don't judge others and advice to do something that you are not able to do.

When we r just born we have a dormat seed of it lying within us the realisation comes when we grow up.
It is clearly stated in VEDAS(which r never false) illicit sex done for sense enjoyment will take u to a hellish plannet where u have to embrace a molten iron body just as u did it. sex should be done to produce a good God fearing generation.

sex feels good because it was a gift from God to his children for those who are married. Premarital sex is an abuse of that gift, just as being an alcoholic is abusing the gift of alcohol.

Because sex is fun. The problem with extra-marital sex is not the sex, it is the context in which it is taken. There is a time and place for it to be right!
Sin is committed when something good is taken and misused, mishandled, or taken out of it's proper context.

I dont think so, it is sinful.
But we should be aware of it consequnces.
Most of the time, people engaging in such sex were only suffered from infatuation or attractions.
Sex is not an art to enjoy, it is a ritual where two souls comes together and get intimate. It is deeply linked with our emotions, so it is desirable to loose ur precious virginity to someone whom u r deeply commited and in luv.
God bless u dear!

because its function is to procreate. women wouldn't have sex if it didn't feel good, knowing how much pain is involved in childbirth. So, if you are under 16, stop doing it before YOU get pregnant!
