I believe in some of them. But I think it's not completely out of true supertitious beliefs. Alot of it has to do with building anticipation before the big day. It's also kind of fun, I think.

I definitely think it is better for the bride to keep her dress as a surprise on the big day, nothing beats seeing the bride enter the chapel/registry office in her gown, all smiling etc. Not so much about good and bad luck really, but there has to be some element of surprise to the day! It's quite nice to have some elements of tradition, but not a necessity

I don't. My parents saw each other dressed before their wedding--they actually cut their cake, did the linked-arms champagne thing, and took some bridal party photos before the wedding. And they've been married 29 years this weekend.
My in-laws-to-be, however, are crazy. So I'm going to have to play into the superstitions at my wedding in July. But that's cool; they're kind of fun.

surely no longer.we dont stay in a international of superstitions not extra.it is 2006!yet certainly,i've got watched this close by action picture some wedding ceremony superstition and it relatively spooked me out!!!yet no longer sufficient to make me have self assurance tha it would desire to ensue in certainty.yet nevertheless,we would desire to continually admire some superstitions that have been taught to us with the aid of the elders as long as we've no longer something to lose.

My husband and I skipped out on a lot of the traditions/superstitions because frankly, we're neither traditional nor superstitious.

nope...I dont. another one is your not supposed to spend the night before the wedding with your fiance and I slept at home in the same bed as my husband that night, woke up, gave him a kiss and went off to get my hair done. we are still happily married. he didnt see me in me dress, but he saw what it looked like.

I don't believe in them, but they are fun. "Something borrowed, something blue..." Don't do the maid of honor if you are marring the bride. Boquet & garter tosses, First piece of cake.
