Honestly no one can really tell you how old is appropriate to start having feelings for some one because you really can't control your heart, but You should atleast be old enough to make rationable and reasonable decisions about your own life. Maturity has a lot to do with a succesful relationship. You should be able to look at having a boyfriend and be able to handle the ups and the downs in a real down to earth and reasonable way and not be pressured by this person to be someone ur not or to do something you don't want to do. If your able to do these things then you know your ready to have a boyfriend. I would say Between 15 and 16 to be safe as far as maturity.
