no, think about...why would we have censors if there was freedom? and while on this topic why don't we bring up our right to privacy? Or does no one care that at any moment there could be a government agent listening to what is being said during your phone conversations? and when you are talking to someone (either on your phone or online) and mention something about the government that could be viewed as terrorism or something along those lines, your phone records and past conversations can be read....which kind of brings ya right back to the freedom of speech thing....wierd isn't it?

Not really. Just listen to a KKK member (although I disagree with the KKKs philosphy) and watch how they get battered for what they believe. Yes they do speak a lot of ignorance and hatred but we're supposed to have freedom of speech. Have a teacher or police officer make a racist remark although repulsive, I don't think they would be able to get away with it. So no we don't have absolute free speech. Happy New Year.

Yes it does....just not in this country, try standing in a public library with a sign reading "Jesus is a Fake" you will be censored and you didn't even speak.....yet stand in the same place with a sign reading "thank a Police officer today."...a noboby will say a thing to you

Of course. I like to say "The world embraces the right to free speech, but not the right to use it"

Depends on who your talking to...

I believe it does... When suppress what somebody says it doesn't mean that they forget about it, in fact in most cases it becomes an obsession

EDIT:

I live in Australia and we don't have a Bill of Rights...

If we don't have the freedom to speak I say lets do it anyway....People feel it's wrong for Christians to speak freely others can be worldy and sinfully speaking but when a Christian does as they are called to do and to go out and teach all nations of the world about the gospel of Christ and what Christ did for us then we are to keep a shut mouth and lose our freedom to speak well I say

I LOVE MY LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST AND I THANK HIM FOR DYING FOR ME SO I CAN BE SAVED AND GO TO HEAVEN ALL I NEED IS TO CALL UPON HIS NAME AND BELIEVE IN HIM. THANK YOU DEAR LORD

Yes, but nobody HAS to listen to what anybody has to say. If we don't like it, we can always turn it off (or tune the person out).
