It is totally impossible to know the fate of any soul. It is hard to even speculate. If you are a Christian, and believe the Holy Bible, then you know that there is only one person who we can be sure is in heaven. That's the thief who was next to Jesus when Jesus was executed. Jesus said to him (something like) "you will be with me today in paradise". For everyone else, we can ONLY speculate.
I think that speculating on the fate of a soldier's soul is no less problematic than pondering the fate of any other human being's soul. Whether you're talking about a soldier, a firefighter, a minister, a chef, or a bus driver. Occupation probably has nothing to do with it. I would think its about what's inside them in terms of faith and beliefs.

What do you think happens to ANYBODY when they die? My personal opinion is what ever you believe in while you're alive...is there a Heaven and Hell. Is living on this Earth Hell, then you die and go to Heaven. If you figure this out please let me know....because I don't believe you're going to get a theological answer on this question. You can definitely get a scientific answer anywhere on the internet.

If you want to be comforting...they're in heaven. If you want to be pragmatic...they could be either in heaven or hell (one action does not a life free of sin make). Or they could be in hell/reduced to nothing, period. But I suppose it depends on the soldier, and the life they led before going to war. It also depends on what you believe in.

Being a soldier is not a sure ticket to Heaven or Hell. If they are living right etc they will make it to Heaven. If they are not, being a soldier will not change that.
You must be confused. The Bible says murder is wrong, killing in battle is not murder.
I suggest you go to church and ask this same question. Who are you to judge anyways?
God bless.

The Americans are fighting a Holy war against evil. If a soldier is a true Christian with obedeince to God. He is able to do the right things even in war.
Paul said;
2 Corinthians 10:3 - 10:6
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

The same thing happens to a soldier as happens to anyone else when they die. Obviously, I can only speculate, seeing as I don't consciously remember any of my previous deaths, however I believe that upon the death of the physical body we ascend to a higher consciousness and leave the confines of the body to return to our total entities, of which our physical consciousness is merely a fragment. We are freed upon death, and use our free will to continue to do as we wish, to take on any form of life we so choose. Upon the death of the physical our perspective of life will broaden immensely and we will be more open to accepting the innate knowledge held in our total entity or soul which is in turn connected to the "all that is".

They are just like anybody else. Since in Greek and Hebrew languages hell (Sheol and Hades)is the common grave, then they would be in hell awaiting the resurrection as the bible reads at John 5: 28-29

They could be in Heaven or Hell depending on what they did in this life.
I hope and pray that they are all in Heaven.

Any one who dies in an act of war can't go to hell, he has already been there.
