We went to the Rose Parade and had to use one of those disquisting porter potty restrooms along with my 5 year old son. It took us more than 1/2 hour to actually go inside. By the time we went inside we almost could not hold it any longer since we had been wanting to go for so long so we both went inside at the same time to pee. Idid not want him to wait ouside in the middle of all those strangers. He went first then it was my turn. I tried very hard to go without sitting. All of the sudden while going I realized he was staring at me. He was standing on the corner in front of me but apparently he could still see. All I said was to turn aroud but I totally noticed a shocked look on his face. right away I knew he had seen too much. Since this morning he has been very spaced out and is actind indifferent with me. I wouldn't make a big deal but he seems shocked and I don't know how to talk to him about it. He won't even make eye contact with me.

i think yr making to much of this, it surprises me that u have not informed yr child that boys and girls are different. if he is 5 and goes to school don,t u think other kids are going to teach him and it would be better coming from u. i think yr just a little paranoid, don't worry so much kids are just inquisitive it's natural. seriously i had my stepdaughter grab me on the bare breasts when she was 3, now that's what i call embarrassing. just talk to yr child and be open, u don't have to tell him all about the birds and the bee's just the basics my 4 turning 5 yr old knows the difference between boys and girls and he's fine. sometimes he tries to come in the bathroom when i'm in there but like i said kids are just curious it's natural.

I think I am more shocked that this is the first time he has seen you. While I do not walk around the house naked, I know that all of my kids have see all there is to see about all of us in this house (And there are a lot of is) IF you are open and honest about your body then your children will be too. Do not be embarrassed, and let your son know that you have parts and he has parts and they are all different and that it is OK. Ask if he has any questions and then answer them at an age appropriate manner. Good luck

Just sit him down and talk to him! He has obviously discovered that you look different down there and perhaps he doesn't understand why you don't have the same parts as he does. Just explain that that is part of what makes you a girl and him a boy and that it's nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about because that is just the way we are made.

he is still really young. i doubt he saw EVERYTHING. maybe you should have his dad talk to him and tell him that every adult has hair down there. he is so young that is seems weird to me that that would faze him. maybe YOU feel weird about it so you think he feels indifferent to you. i would shrug it off.
