I use the john freida hair line because it actually works. The brilliant brunette products for me. The conditioner in that line is awesome because it creates that soft and shiny look. Don't try to blow dry it too much but it is also a promising method, however only damages your hair. People also find putting (it sounds weird) talcum powder in their hair, I only suggest if your a blonde and you can get away with it. Just a little bit of that and comb through. There are so many things you can do to get that at home salon look, just have fun with it!

Try TRESemme Shampoo and Conditioner. While in the shower when the conditioner is still in your hair, brush your hair out with a paddle brush. After your hair is dried and styled, spray on some Frizz Ease Instant Touch-Up Glossing Spray ($5.00) and brush it out again ( ONLY if brushing wont mess up how you styled it.)

Also.. this would be expensive though.. The Ultra Chi hair straightner makes hair SO SOFT AND SHINY, and it comes with a gel that you can put on your hair before styling, which also helps alot.

good luck =D

put shampoo mostly by your scalp because the hair at the bottom is probley years old and dry and brittle. conditions twords the bottome and a little bit at the top if you have drier hair. when you dont have plans or are sick just take a shower or dont blow dry you hair for a couuplle days and when you do blow dry your hair be sure to use hair shampoo and conditioner for making your hair shiny shampoo hair and condition everyday. also put mayo in hair [i know it sounds terrible but it works]

Pave's (Walgreens) is excellent shine-producing shampoo. I don't like the cream conditioner, however, bc it's way too heavy.

Also, I like Catwalk Honey & Oatmeal Shampoo & Conditioner. I really like the Camera Ready Shine Spray by them as well. Use it very sparingly, a little goes a long way.

Here is some very good advice!!
DO NOT COLOR OR PERM YOUR HAIR!!
If you want it to be nice and not fried like chicken, then don't do anything that will damage it. There is no way (safely) that you can change the color of your hair or make it straighter or curlier without damaging it. Just do like I did and get used to what you can do safely, like with mousse or gel..because blowdryers and straightening irons are EVIL!!

This is true: Put mayo and raw eggs in your hair and then wash them out and use regular shampoo and conditioner. It makes your hair soft and shiny. My mother is a retired beautician and tells all of her customers wanting this affect to do so.

use silk elements mega silk heat protection spray... it works wonders... or you could just ask the stylist what they are using on your hair...

the silk elements.... spray protects your hair from the damaging heat from blow drying. also, it makes it feel super soft & looks very shiny. i also use paul mitchell super skinny because i have very thick hair. these two products together are a must for me. i don't know what i did without them.

i also avoid washing my hair daily because it only robs it of its shine & natural oils...

i would also avoid putting mayonaise or eggs in my hair... just because that is weird & gross. who cares how well it works.. i just would rather not...

you can do trimming, deep conditioning, defrizzers but it comes from within....it will take around 6 months but if you are serious about your hair follow my advice. A healthy diet is your key. Because hair is made up of dead cells so make those cells healthier....see this link for more information.

I use a very small drop of baby oil in my hands and rub together. I then run my fingers through my hair and that works real well. Dont use a lot it will make your hair greasy!!
