it depends what kind of oil and it depends what kind of hair your have.
If you have dry, puffy, damaged, thick hair then i would say do it. You need the weight to keep your hair down and the extra moisture,
if you have thin, oily or normal hair i would say no becuase it will be too heavy and thick.
It is ok to apply oil that is designed for hair and desgined to apply after conditioning of hair.
You can also use oilve oil which absorbs really well but don't put to much because it is thick. It is better to soak your hair in it before you shampoo and condition though.

dont use things like baby oil or canola oil which is baad.

You could add just a drop of oil throughout your hair. Alot of oil is not needed when you use a moisturizing conditioner

If you have dry or damaged hair or you just like the sleek and shiny look. do following.
After washing and conditioning your hair, towel dry and apply live in conditioner, live in treatment, or if you like a little amount of hair oil. It is very important to apply those products on dump hair, because that way hair will absorb the moisture and will look naturally shiny and not oily.
And one more thing try to not apply oil to your roots, that will clog your pours and eventually will make your hair falllllllll.

Well, oil isn't really good, unless you want your hair to be oily. But I suggest using one of the healthy hair lotions that can smoothe your hair, acts like oil except better, and keeps your hair healthy. I use it and it is fantastic!
