ive wondered this and i try to get 7 to 8 hrs of rest (which means trying to get to sleep plus sleep). do i need eight hours of me sleeping? and do teens really need 8 hrs or can they pass on 6 or 7. cuz thats wat most teens do

They suggested 8 hours of actual sleep, but I think everyone develops their own sleep pattern. Some people can sleep 4-6 hours & others need more. For me personally I need 8, anything less I feel groggy and slugish, but if I sleep over 8 I wake up more tired (?!).

Adults need 8 hours of sleep. Teens need more than that, perhaps as much as 10.

you need basically 8 hours sleep but thats only what all them doctors and health people say. but as i have to be up for work in about 4 hours i dont think ill get much sleep.

no it means 8 hours of you being asleep
not the hour it takes some to fall asleep!
