Why do so many men like to spit on the street? I don't know if that has something to do with their nationality. I've been to many countries but I realized, that Pakistanis seem to do that very often. They don't care and spit right in front of your feet. Why?

I think it's disgusting too. But, it's not just men. There are women who do it too. In fact, just months ago, I was spit on by a woman as I was getting out of my car in a parking lot. She was getting out of the passenger side of a truck, I was getting out of my car and her spit landed on my calf. (Eww!) I don't think she even realized it, and I didn't say anything. I washed my leg asap.

I dont know. I find it absolutely disgusting as well. My husband has been to Timor, and apparently they do the same thing there as well. But they chew some sort of leaf or something and it turns their spit red/brown. eeww

They do it in America and it's just as disgusting as anywhere else, but seriously why do men spit and women don't. Do they have more saliva or something?

I don't know about Pakistans, but I know that in some countries it's not considered bad maners. As in, Korea. But it's mainly old women and old men. Not really done by any of the youth.

i couldnt read the reast of the question dear... any way spitting in public places is a bad habit, im not talking about any sick people , im talking about the normal people they shouldnt do this !!!

It may very well be that they are chewing....and yes it is gross. Also it is possible that they are showing their disrespect for you...a form of international racism? Not saying that from experiance, just a thought.
