Gray hair comes in different shades, and is genetic. Whatever tone the gray has is meant to flatter your skintone. Why not see if you like it? Our US culture has such a stigma about aging and appearences, especially towards women. Men get much less grief about going gray, they hear it if they lose their hair. I'm sure you would look very dignified with gray and black with your coloring.

I could have written your question. I'm older than you now but I found my first gray hair at 15. By 19 I had one patch and by 25 I had a bunch of patches and started coloring. My coloring is the same as yours and when I let my hair go gray people think I am ill. It's true that we are generally born with appropriately colored hair and skin. However, our hair tends to change quicker than our skin tone. At some point your gray hair will be fabulous but you will have to take a look at your own hair and skin tone and decide whether your gray compliments you or not. I'm 45 and my skin tone still doesn't look good with my gray but everyone is different. Ask your hairdresser about color possibilities and just take a good look. You may love your gray, as many people do.

I got my first gray hair at 19 and just pulled it out - lol. But then it started coming in the front in a clump that I could not deal with. Just get some semi-permanent dye and only do the few that grow in or you can just get a few highlights to blend. If you touch it up yourself be careful, it can get tricky what with re-growth and all. Stick to non-permanent things unless you are willing to put up with constant retouches. I've been dying for ages and it really gets tiresome but I don't want to run around looking like an old lady! My normal color is brunette with very light olive-toned skin and if I went totally gray I would look sick. Some look great, it just depends upon your coloring.

i always said i wouldn't dye my hair when it started to turn gray....but as soon as i got more than a couple of them, i was off to get it colored. It depends on how many you have, i guess, and if you want to go to the bother. If you do, i would try and match it as close to your own color as possible

Some women look spectacular with grey hair. My aunt was totally grey by the time she was 30 and she looked stunning. See if you like it. You can always dye it if you don't care for the look.
