I am thinking of takeing my charcoal canister out and plugging the lines. What effect will this have on my truck?

I'd do it and see what it does. I don't think it will do anything. I've took all the smog equipment of a 82 nissan pickup and 79 chevy luv and a 78 courier in the past and it didn't do anything.

Are you talking about the catalytic converter? If so, and the truck lacks power, especially going uphill, it should restore power; however, many states have those emission test inspections, probably won't pass.

I think these years had the smog pump. get rid of the pump & plug the holes in the exhaust manifold with regular plumbing plugs & you will be tickled with the power & milage incress

i've got in no way completed that. lolz they are previous. omg ew. for a sec i presumed it replaced into generic element for you adult men. pickup lines to get them suitable? i replaced into thinking pickup jokes. undesirable dora.

you can do it but you will need a vented gas cap if yours isnt im not sure if they came with a vented cap or not
