Hell no, girl!
He gave it to YOU, so now it's YOURS.
He has some nerve asking that. . .

That depends. Is it an engagement ring? Because really, an engagement ring means that he gave it to you with the intention of marrying you. And if the engagement is broken off and you won't be getting married, you should give it back.
If it's just a regular ring that he gave as a gift, then no. Don't give it back. He has no right to ask for it.

When I read this I was like WTF!
What was the ring for?
If it was a gift he shouldn't ask for it back but to give it to his new girlfriend, that's rediculous.
If it was a family heirloom or a school ring or something maybe it would make some sense to me as to why he would even ask.
He sounds insensitive and cheap to me.

It was a gift so technically he is a rude jerk for asking for it back, but it was given as a symbol of your love, so give it back to the jerk.
What kind of g/f does he have who would want a ring bought for another woman! He probably will not even tell his new g/f it was a ring he bought for you.
What a loser.

OK, this is the rule.
If your ring is one that you wear, you know, a girl's ring, then you keep it.
But if its a guy ring that he gave to you, but its for his finger (like a school ring), then give it back.
Your negative feelings for him should not make you be less of a person than him. These are the rules (of life), you should follow them.

Give it back!
You really do not care about the ring! You just want to hurt!
But you, your character, is way above this pig type trash!
You wrote EX, give the person all that denotes him!
Never give a PIG a chance or reason to OINK at you!
Even YOUR heart tells you that it is wrong, morally, to keep it.

Girl no! If he gave it to you, you need to keep it. That is childish to ask someone for a ring back that they gave you. But if he wont to make a big deal out of it then give it back.

If he broke up with you I would keep it, but if you broke up with him I would give it back. If I gave it back though, I would also make sure the ex's new g/f knew that the ring was second-hand and she only got it because you didn't want it anymore. ;)

Was it an engagement ring? How special is the ring to you?
I'd give it back. I don't care how mad the guy made me- I wouldn't want to keep something that would remind me of him.

No somebody told me to do this with my ex engagement ring ( too bad I didn't have the chance to do it) melt it and get a desing you like . Or you can get your name engrave inside of it and give it back to him ( that's a bit mean but it sounds like fun).

it depends if you still wear it or not. if you don't then why not but if you still wear it tell him no. go get your initials engraved on it so he won't be able to give it to his new girl. but it all really depends on how pissed you are at him and if it means anything to you. oh and make sure if you give it back to accidently let the new girl know it was your ring first
