There are thousands of scholarships out there. The two most well known ones are athletic and merrit (grade) scholarships. Of course, there are scholarships for other reasons too such as wearing duct tape to the prom. However, there are a number of sources to look for scholarships out there.

First, FAFSA form will tap into need based financial assistance from the state and federal governments along with the college itself. It is based on the family income and resources.

Second, the state offers college grants. They can be located via Google.com and Yahoo.com. It is need based, too.

Third, the local high school guidance office has a list of local scholarships that current students can apply for consideration.

Fourth, the local public library has a scholarship listing book. It often lists scholarships not listed on the web.

Fifth, the college's financial aid office and website has a list of private scholarships from outside organizations and companies for students to apply for consideration.

Finally, join several free membership scholarship search websites. Most offer a customized search based on information that you enter into a form.

Good luck!

Well, what do you want to know?

Scholarships are available for many people who want to go to college. However, there are fewer scholarships available for people with majority status--specifically white and male.

If you are in almost any other category scholarships exist.

If you are worried about paying for school, another option is a Stafford loan. No one likes the idea of having all that money to pay back, but the interest rates are so low and the benefits so great that it pays for itself in the long run.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

The scholarships that you can win by drawing are the hardest to win because there's no guarantee that you can win. Can someone answer my question?

Yes? Just get a really good score on the ACT or SAT... don't be scared to take it multiple times. Also, rack up the AP tests.
