So my hair is black...i got a perm in June 06, then i got my hair dyed to light brown in November 06...i just want to know if i can dye my hair black...or is there some serious repercussion? do i have to wait a certain amount of time?

no you can always go darker cause you are depositing color not stripping it. the only thing is when they lightened your hair to light brown did they bleach at all? you have to be careful cause if you go black the ends of the light brown will lose color first and may apear like green tinged in like wal-mart type lighting, get some pro advise like call a salon.

Even with dying your hair, they usually have recommendations for a waiting period, especially if its permanent dye. Since the perm was quite awhile ago, I would say it's safe. If you can find a non-permanent, or semi-permanent black, that would be the safest bet until your natural color comes back in. Make sure you buy enough dye---sometimes 1 bottle won't do it, and you REALLY don't want your hair to look stripey. Plus, that means more of that awesome 'after-color' conditoner that makes your hair super smooth!

you can color it darker, but go to a salon and have it done by a professional.
