i strongly agree that global warming isnt stressed enough--anything to get the public aware of the seriousness of this problem
did you see this great commercial they made though? a guy stands on the train tracks and you hear a train and he's like oh gobal warming isnt happening in my time and he steps aside and theres a little kid on the tracks behind him and then you see the train right behind her
it was very good but the common public doesnt really look for symbolism now do they and doesnt care to understand such commercials..thats why i think knowledge is power
and the common public has the IQ of a vegetable.

The fact is for every celebrity telling us the evils of global warming there is somebody telling us that either global warming isn't real or that it is real and not man made. Just remember where the term "climate change" came from. It came straight from the US Neocon government after it was coined by Frank Luntz to soften the idea that global warming was a bad thing.
The fact is, global warming is real, the evidence is all around and man is the culprit.

You mean like Al Gore, Leonardo Deciprio (sp?) those types?
They are already doing a GREAT job spreading the liberal myth.
Global warming is in fact happening, a given, but not for the reasons our leftist liberal science sources, politicians and press are reporting. Only 18 percent of the "new" Co2 in the atmosphere is contributed by all contemporary sources including the overall world consumption of fossil fuel, livestock (and human) flatulation and crop fertilization. The majority of scientific studies are now discounting Co2 emitted by motor vehicles (burning of fossil fuels) as any MAJOR cause. Geological history indicates natural solar cycles are the culprit, something politicians have no power over so they ignore. The real short-term danger is in fact a buildup of greenhouse gas in the atmosphere, but not Carbon Dioxide. The real culprit is Methane, a far more potent greenhouse gas, being released into the atmosphere by the decay of Methane Hydrate occurring naturally frozen on the ocean floors, due to the gradual (natural) warming of ocean water by the (natural) solar cycle. Another item our politicians have no control over and the liberal media will never mention. Follow the money trail... They promote revenue and power by promoting fear. "We just have to do SOMETHING...You know"? So they continue to promote cars as the culprit.

No, because there is no scientific proof that human activity has anything to do with global warming, and in fact no such proof is possible. The purported effects of atmospheric CO2 are based on computer models, which are notoriously unreliable, as anyone who has attempted computerized weather forecasting is all too well aware.

You aren't going to see the US government use anything to campaign against global warming because the offical positon of the Republican run US government is that global warming is a myth. They have in fact BLOCKED international action to do anything about global warming.

Al Gore has traveled the world to teach us the horrors of global warming but I don't know if he counts as part of the government!

Celebrities should use their fame to promote good, but involving the government does not seem to be a good idea. If thse celebrities care enough to try to help the world, they will do it by themselves, without having to be government puppets.
