I don't see amnesty passing anytime soon. why everyone is gearing up for 2008 presidential election?
Amnesty is unpopular word, could kill anyone chances to getting in the White House.

I don't know about you, but I'm reasonably happy being able to afford fruits and vegetables, for example... and if the only folks willing to do the back-breaking labor needed to pick them for less than $20 an hour come from other countries, and they are willing to keep our economy alive, I say give them the same opportunity to become a citizen that my grandparents had.
The 'stuff' we hear from some t.v. commentators is designed to improve ratings, and not based on anything mildly related to common sense. No legitimate economists are predicting that the "US becomes close to a 3rd world country in the next 20 years"-- that's just silliness designed to frighten people. If anything destroys our economy, it won't be immigration but climate change-- if the ice keeps melting in Greenland and Antarctica, as IS being predicted by experts, then we'll all be wondering why we ever worried about amnesty. [How many of America's population centers are withing ten miles of a coastline? Figure it out-- where do you think all those folk in New York and Boston, Miami and LA, San Francisco and Seattle, and all the towns and cities in between, are going to move to? And you're worried about immigrants?]

I won't bail. If I go down, I'll go down fighting. I might try to encourage my children to take their families to a more peaceful, civilized country. Maybe, Switzerland.
I don't think the USA is going to keep this BS up much longer. We are on the brink of war on U.S. soil. Our leaders don't want that on their hands. It would not look good in the history books. Should it go to war, those illegal invaders will certainly lose bigtime. Most American citizens, including most of the women, have used firearms in their lifetime. Many have taken self-defense, firearms training, practiced in shooting ranges, are expert with swords, crossbows, you name it. We have much more advanced weaponry than 'poor' illegal immigrants. Not to mention the fact our National Guard are here to protect AMERICAN citizens, not illegal invaders. So, it's not hard to figure who's going to get their @$$ whooped. I'm ready to whoop a few. Bring it on! Locked and loaded!

We are against ILLEGAL immigration, not legal immigration. Have you ever in your whole life seen so many stupid people? They just don't WANT to accept the truth. The only sinking ship is in Washington D.C. Come back on board through contacting your representatives and insisting that anti-illegal legislation needs to be improvised and expanded to include employers. Follow the money--defund the criminal element.
